The hypothermia cure: cold baths for immune system support and natural health.

In theory, the blood is oxygenated and pathogens are more shocked than the human body. Emotionally, this is also a test of courage.

Two immune support ideas that are often overlooked but often worth a try: lysine and cold baths.

Any time the immune system is stressed, such as by fatigue, bacteria or cancer, viruses are usually there as a complication, and may even be an unrecognized primary cause. Lysine is often reported successful against viruses, is inexpensive and as mild as eating gelatin. Lysine is suitable for almost everyone.

Cold baths, on the other hand, are perhaps not suitable for some people. Nonetheless, they are traditional for millions young and old in Scandinavia, Japan, Russia and North America. If they can do it, perhaps you can do it. A natural reflex is triggered, after which you do not feel cold. In theory, the blood is oxygenated and pathogens more shocked than the human body. Emotionally, this is a test of courage. Please note that cold showers may not have the same effect. We believe the water should not move too rapidly.

Suggestions to control the risks of cold baths or swims.

  • Always start with a hot shower or warm-up exercises.
  • At first, set a goal to enter the water up to your neck, and then quickly leave. After you are accustomed to this, set a goal to repeat this twice. Gradually increase the number of times or the length of time.
  • Always leave early, before you feel like leaving.
  • If you shivver then you stayed too long.
  • Always dress extra-warmly after.
  • Do not jump in. In a bath, change the temperature gradually. In a pond, wear a shirt soaked with hot water.
  • Do not take cold baths whenever you do not feel able.
  • Do not take cold baths more than once weekly, unless you strongly feel able.
  • Do not take cold baths in cold weather, unless you strongly feel able.
  • Do not immerse your head. If you want to immerse your head, use earplugs and rinse the eyes with clean water.
  • If your health is marginal, please consult a doctor.
  • If you have painful muscle cramps, this usually may be prevented by taking extra potassium, or ripe bananas, and Hyland's homeopathic "Leg Cramps" or "Menstrual Cramps". Also of course take a multivitamin daily, plus extra vitamin C. With evening meals take extra chelated calcium and magnesium (see chapter M).
  • Never swim alone.
